Each year, Abbotsford welcomes thousands of people from all over the world to visit the home of one of Scotland’s most significant authors, Walter Scott Abbotsford was his creation – a romance in stone and a family home – and has been open to the public since 1832.

We are looking for confident and outgoing individuals to join our small but perfectly formed team of expert guides. You will be looking for a long term commitment and be happy to throw yourself into the world of Sir Walter Scott, his life and times and the history of his beloved Abbotsford, one of Scotland’s most influential buildings. His unrivalled collection of books and curiosities is one of Scotland’s best kept secrets.
