Garden Assistant (Tuesday AM)

Our Volunteer Garden Assistants help to maintain our walled gardens at Abbotsford. They make sure that our visitors can enjoy our stunning gardens throughout the seasons. The latest project was helping the Head Gardener and the gardening team to create a Mindfulness garden to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Sir Walter Scott. Sir Walter loved his garden and the outdoors and was convinced that it maintained and nourished both his body and soul. Why not help make that a reality for our visitors, fellow volunteers, staff as well as community groups who use the gardens as a therapeutic retreat.

The safety of our volunteers, visitors and staff is paramount to the Abbotsford Trust. We have carried out detailed risk assessments for all our volunteer roles. We monitor and adhere to all government and public health advice and guidelines and expect all volunteers, visitors and staff to adhere to our protocols.
